From ‘Jangli’ and ‘Charly’ to the ‘Tramway à la française’, this guided tour delves into the fascinating history of mobility in Luxembourg.
Meet your guide in front of the majestic Central Station, where it all began. Our guide, a enthusiast for transportation, will then lead you on an exciting journey through time and space. Following the itinerary through the Old Town, you'll admire the green spaces all the way to the Pfaffenthal and Kirchberg districts.
You'll be amazed by the magnificent views from the Pfaffenthal panoramic lift, the Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg funicular and the Passerelle des Arts. You will also explore the various means of transport linking the city's dynamic districts. Eventually, you reach Parc 3 Eechelen in Kirchberg, where the city's unique topography unfolds before you. You might wonder: ‘I never knew mobility could be so exciting! And yet it's true. More than just a way of getting around, mobility in Luxembourg is the common thread running through our history.
The guided tour is organised as part of the European Mobility Week, under the theme of ‘Shared Public Space - ëffentleche Raum Gemeinsam notzen’.
